Located on the confluence of the Concho and South Concho Rivers, the city of San Angelo is a major college town in the state of Texas, with a population of 88,439 residents. The city limits are comprised of 58.2 square miles, with a population density of 1,582 residents per square mile. The city is home to some of the largest and most respected colleges and universities in the state of Texas, including Angelo State University and Howard College.
